Flawed

Cecelia Ahern

Flawed

Celestine North lives a perfect life. She's a model daughter and sister, she's well-liked by her classmates and teachers, and she's dating the impossibly charming Art Crevan.

But then Celestine encounters a situation in which she makes an instinctive decision. She breaks a rule and now faces life-changing repercussions. She could be imprisoned. She could be branded. She could be found FLAWED.

In her breathtaking young adult debut, bestselling author Cecelia Ahern depicts a society in which obedience is paramount and rebellion is punished. And where one young woman decides to take a stand that could cost her everything.

ATTENTION: possible spoilers!

I found this book in my school library. This is a different book for me but I read it fast. I was absorbed in the story; what captivated me was that the created world was depicted very realistically. In that world everyone wants to be perfect, even one little imperfection will be noticed. And people are punished for that. I like the fact that Celestine, although she shouldn't be helping a person with a flaw, does it anyway. And although her life changes a lot, her family is always there with her... and Celestine doesn't give up, despite the pain.

I like to read about values like that: bravery, strong family ties and altruism.
